We invite you to take this introduction course to the Protégé Project. We hope you will find this Introduction to the Protégé Project informative and thought-provoking, offering a compelling perspective about being a follower of Christ.
The Objective: Welcome to the Journey aims to provide a biblical and practical foundation for the Protégé Project.
The Goal: After completing this Introduction, you will demonstrate an understanding of the foundational lessons of the Protégé Project
Welcome to the Journey Part 1
To begin, we will do two things:
- Using the Bible Project and other resources, we will start with an introduction to the Bible
- Share as the biblical context and foundation for being a Protege of Jesus.
These videos are short. Please watch them all the way through. After watching them do two things:
- Ask any questions relating to the videos-How to learn how to live well in this world of chaos. It is essential to understand the Bible. It is your source for learning about God’s Love for humanity and our gift of Grace in the person of Jesus Christ.
- Write down the main points you heard in each video and what you think it means – The more you read the Bible, you will listen to a thing that will stay with you, helping you learn and grow as a Protege of Jesus. So, it is s good practice to answer the following questions as best you can when you read or listen to the Bible. The more you read or listen to and study the Bible, the better you will answer these questions.

Welcome to the Journey Part 2
Here are five lessons relating to the spiritual and practical aspects of being a Protege of Jesus. There are five lessons do at least the three that peaks your interest.
The Road of Life – Psalms 37:23-24
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. Psalms 37:23-24
God’s gift of Grace – John 1: 16-17
“And of His fullness, we have all received Grace for Grace. For The was given through Moses, but Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.“
God’s Word for Our Changing Times – Matthew 24:35
Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
The Big Picture – Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.“
The Call of Wisdom – Proverbs 8: 34-36
Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For those who find me, find life and receive favor from the Lord. But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death.
